So many obvious jokes can be made with Adele’s album, named 21, reaching its 21st week in the #1 spot but we’ll spare U! LOL!!

Her album sold another 730,000 copies in the U.S. last week thanks to all the buzz with the Grammys and Brit Awards (and just the fact that it’s an excellent album worthy of a spot in everyone’s collection)!!

That’s up a whopping 270%!!! IN-SANE!!!

LiLo has just left the El Lay County Courthouse, after reporting to Judge Stephanie Sautner for possibly the second to last time. Today, she and her lawyer updated the judge on her progress with her community service and therapy sessions, both of which she has completed with glowing reports from her advisors.

Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lilo that her probation officers are “pleased” with her progress and her commitment to getting her life “back on track.” She added that she was glad LiLo has taken this sentencing seriously, as the courts “like to see positive change,” like the kind she has made with her life.

On March 29th, Lindsay will return to court for her final appearance, in which time she must complete 14 more days of community service and 5 more therapy sessions. If she completes these requirements, her original Beverly Hills case will finally be over and she will go into non-reporting, informal probation for her theft case.

Sounds like all good things, girl! Maybe this is it …

Conan O’Brien and TBS have agreed to renew his late night show contract through 2014.

To think, two years ago he was on the brink of never being on TV again, with NBC giving him the kind of swift kick to the curb lesser men couldn’t even imagine recovering from!

Let’s hope Conan can have a stronger 2012!

Before Nicole Scherzinger was fired from her judging position on X Factor, she and the also-axed Steve Jones were set to appear on the reality competition as dual hosts! Unfortunately, the former Pussycat Doll took over for Cheryl Cole on the judges panel when SHE was also given the boot, and we all know how that turned out!

However, for the second season, FremantleMedia’s North American CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz has revealed that they are going to bring back the original idea of having two hosts working together!

She explains:

“Simon‘s vision was always to have a man and woman host this and to make it feel a little bit like an award ceremony. A glamorous girl and a good-looking guy doing a kind of double act. There was no way around it. In terms of making the show feel different, everyone felt we needed to put it in a different situation.”

Very true!

But remember when Ryan Seacrest wasn’t the only host of American Idol back that first year?

Yeah, we don’t really, either!

So who knows if this – and the replacement judges – will have what it takes to propel this show into ratings gold?!

CNN was the biggest beneficiary of the funeral, averaging five million viewers between 12:15pm and 3:45pm.

The news network doubled down on the broadcast, sending Piers Morgan, Soledad O’Brien, and Don Lemon to the church.

Fox News saw 1.38 million viewers tune in while MSNBC has 709,000. BET and E! numbers are not available but online, 7.3 million viewers were glued to their computer screens.

In contrast, many more viewers watched Michael Jackson‘s funeral, which averaged an astounding 31 million viewers.

Production has been long delayed on George Miller‘s reboot/sequel of Mad Max, which will star Tom Hardy as the title character and Charlize Theron, but those wondering if the series’ original star, Mel Gibson, would return in a cameo role have gotten their answer – straight from the actor himself!

He explains:

“Nope. I’ve got nothing to do with it. George, he’s filming in Namibia or something. It would be fun to fly to Namibia and be a snake in the background or something. I think it’s going to be great. George is a genius.”

Well, he doesn’t seem too broken up about leaving the franchise behind!

And we have to admit – between Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, he’s leaving it in more than capable hands!

This is definitely going to be worth checking out!

We’ve just come to learn that on the cover of this week’s National Enquirer, there is an alleged official picture of Whitney Houston’s body, resting in her casket … and the lid is open.

We’re not the biggest fans of this kind of exploitation. In fact, we find it rather tasteless and crude. But, we’re also not foolish enough to think that there aren’t those of you out there who are morbidly curious. If that is the case, then we invite you to pick up the new issue of National Enquirer. We warn you though – it’s really unsettling and not for the faint of heart.

We just want to wish poor Whitney peace and her family all the time they need to grieve. Our condolences still go out to all who loved and knew her.
