The new, improved and enlightened John Mayer is just days away from releasing his new album, Born and Raised.

The musician, who spent the past two years in hideout, reflecting on his troubled past and ripping off Johnny Depp‘s style, is excited to release his long-awaited album. He “soberly” told guests at a recent listening party:

“You forget anyone is ever going to hear it because it seems so far off.”

That’s deep bro. LOL!

John revealed that he’s currently writing on his next album, and hopes to start recording as soon as this summer. The artist announced:

“I’ve been thinking I’ll record in July and August. I’m already writing – I’ve got nothing else to do. Like any other job, you finish a project – you start another project.”

The stoned profound musician explained the importance of writing a new album ASAP:

“Whether or not I can sing, there’s a way I can see the world right now that I won’t again. And if you’re a writer, you write the way you can see the world at that moment.”

Excited to hear how is new state of mind has affected his music??

Many sources report Dr. House will kick the proverbial bucket in the finale episode and when Hugh Laurie stopped by The Tonight Show, Leno grilled him for supper answers.

In an embarrassingly fake British accent, Hugh gives strong indications that he might not live through House’s final episode.

Everyone is buzzing about the death in the Grey’s Anatomy finale. It was in-sane!

Show creator Shonda Rhimes thinks so too! (So why did she do it??)

Fortunately, the epic drama writer has revealed her thoughts on the finale, which at least gives us more insight…

ON THE POSSIBILITY OF MORE DEATHS FROM THE PLANE CRASH:

Everyone is still so immersed in ‘Who died?’ and no one is talking about the thing that I actually think is important and was the point of the episode – which is they are still out there. They’re still out there in the forest, and we don’t know if they are going to be OK. We left it open for a reason because…I hate to say this, but just because you saw people alive at the end of the finale doesn’t mean they’re going to be alive when the season starts up. We are completely jumping off into the unknown next season.

ON WHY CHYLER LEIGH (LEXIE GREY) HAD TO LEAVE:

Stuff that happens inside our family is stuff that happens inside our family. I have so much respect for Chyler, and the decision was really, it was very hard for everybody involved and I want to respect her privacy on that.

ON WHETHER CHYLER CAN RETURN VIA PARANORMAL ACTIVITY:

We saw Denny as a ghost, and people didn’t really like that, did they? It was a really hard decision to let that character die versus send her off into the sunset somewhere. It was really difficult. It was not made lightly. I don’t think we’re going to see Lexie Grey ever again. That’s not the intention, to see her again. It’s a big loss. It’s a big loss for the characters and it’s a big loss for the show. We’re busy feeling that loss.

ON LEXIE/MCSTEAMY’S RELATIONSHIP PANNING OUT IF SHE HADN’T LEFT:

I always felt like Mark and Lexie were meant to be together. If things had not turned out the way they had this season, I had a completely different thing planned for them. I was one of the people who loved Mark and Lexie together; I had a completely different thing planned for them. The introduction of Julie was part of planning a completely different storyline for them. So for me, there was a lot of heartbreak in that. There were so many moments and so many things that I had wanted to happen with those characters that we’re never going to get to see. When Mark and Lexie say “meant to be,” it wasn’t about servicing the fans. That’s how I felt. That’s what was supposed to happen, and that’s what I wanted to see. It was heartbreaking.

INTENSE STUFF!!

Every time we watch Grey’s, we end up almost suffering a heart attack by the end of it.

Srsly, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey better do house calls with all the suspense they give us! We mean, shiz!

Holy Mary, Mother of sweet awesomeness!!

Lionsgate will reboot the Highlander franchise and they’re very close to asking Ryan Reynolds to lead Clan MacLeod.

As you already know, there can be only one perfect candidate and we’re pretty sure it’s RyRy.

Reynolds is buff, charming, and we’ve already seen him wield a sword as Deadpool.

For those of you uninitiated, Highlander tells the story of an immortal race of warriors who live secretly amongst the humans and occasionally they have sword fights that end in decapitation!

Ahmaaaazing, right???

We have no clue whether the film will be a reboot or a sequel to the TV series and movies, but we DO know Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is set to direct.

The Spaniard made a few solid films already, including 28 Weeks Later and Intacto.

We cannot wait for them to get to work on this one!!

And the drooling continues! LOL!

The second Magic Mike trailer is here and we’re liking what we see! Yes, there are a lot more half naked men, but there’s also more plot too.

The first trailer focused on the romance between Channing Tatum and newcomer Cody Horn, but the second (above) tells us a little bit more about Alex Pettyfer‘s character.

As an experienced stripper, Mr. Mike takes Pettyfer under his wing to show him the ropes and, based on what we saw in the last trailer, proceeds to fall in love with his pupil’s sister.

So basically, as much as this is a romantic comedy, it looks like it’s a bromantic one too!

But he’s not gonna do it! No matter what his doctor said!

As we previously mentioned, American Idol contestant, Phillip Phillips has been having some serious kidney problems.

He has a blockage caused by kidney stones and, even though he got a minor surgery to help alleviate the condition until he can go have a real surgery, he’s still in an incredible amount of pain.

The problem is, he doesn’t care about the pain cuz all he cares about is competing in Idol. What a trooper!

His doctor said a temporary fix isn’t going to cut it and he needs to get surgery NOW, but Phillip refuses to drop out of the competition! He’s so dedicated!

His doc said he MUST go into surgery immediately after the finale.

We liked Phillip before but now… wow! He’s so strong, and dedicated, and maybe reckless but it just shows that his music means more to him than even his own health!

Idol is allowing him to miss field productions, such as commercial shoots, because they don’t want to stress his body too much.

So nice they’re being so caring.

The actresses appeared as guests on the famously wacky Spanish talk-show El Hormiguero yesterday. While Charlize hammed it up for cameras, dancing and jumping around and cracking really weird jokes, Kristen blushed and bit her nails.

Eventually, Stewie could no longer take Theron’s antics, so she LITERALLY laid down on the floor and covered her head. LOL!
