Damn! We thought these guys were out of the woods finally!
Although Conan O’Brien managed to ensure that his writers would stay with him when he left the Tonight Show and moved to TBS, apparently many are unhappy that they’ll be taking a pretty hefty pay cut!
An insider reveals:
“This is no surprise. One show was broadcast network; the other is basic cable. It’s a different pay scale. It’s not just writers; it’s everybody. None of this is resolved.”
We’re sure this isn’t easy, but we think these writers should just be grateful that in this economy, they had a boss that fought to keep them around and employed!
Hopefully they can negotiate something satisfactory soon!
