Kayne West took to his blog to address being rumors that he appointed himself the new King of Pop and the ramifications of such a title.

He says:

I WAS JUST LISTENING TO WENDY WILLIAMS AND HEARD SOME QUOTE ABOUT ME SAYING I’M THE NEW KING OF POP. NOT ONLY DID I NOT SAY THAT, I HAVEN’T SAID ANYTHING. IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD THAT OBVIOUSLY I MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT I WOULD BE CORNY ENOUGH TO SAY SOMETHING SO WHACK AFTER THE PASSING OF AN IDOL, A LEGEND AND MORE THAN THAT A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS AND FAMILY. IT SCARES ME TO THINK WHAT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE, WITHOUT EVEN A SOURCE. ANY RANDOM PERSON CAN TYPE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THE WORLD BELIEVES IT. I DON’T TALK TO PRESS OR DO TV OR DO PROMOTIONS OF ANY SORT. I’VE STOPPED CHASING AND BUYING INTO FAME. FAME IS LIKE CIGARETTES WITH NO SURGEON GENERAL WARNING. IT DESTROYS MOST PEOPLE AS IT DID TO THE TRUE AND ONLY KING OF POP. WE EXPLOIT OURSELVES AND EAT OUR OWN EGOS ‘TILL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. Always true to herself and keeping things real, Madonna wrote in Friday’s edition of the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth about her continued belief in Kabbalah.

She writes: “All the questions I had about life began to be answered and I realized I had finally found a ’belief system’ or philosophy that incorporated Science and Spirituality.”

She attributes most of her life decisions to this change in religion, from the adoption of her Malawi children to her fervent practice of yoga. As she embraced the religion fully, things started to change for her: “All the puzzle pieces started falling into place. Life no longer seemed like a series of random events. I started to see patterns in life. I woke up.”

It’s nice when celebrities dig deep and get real!

She seems incapable of shutting her damn mouth!

On her visit to the Late Show with David Letterman recently, Katherine Heigl continued to spark controversy when she publicly burned Grey’s Anatomy for their long work days.

“Our first day back was Wednesday and it was — I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them — a 17-hour day which I think is cruel and mean,” said the ungrateful wacktress.

It turns out the the long day was to accommodate Heigl so she could go off and promote her film The Ugly Truth.

She must really want off that show!

Heigl has not commented on the cause of the extended work day, but rumors continue of her diva behavior on the set of her new film Five Killers.

Supposedly, she is making excessive requests including traveling only on private plane and unnecessarily beefing up security.

Security?! No one wants to get near you, kitten!

While both Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian said that their breakup was amicable, we keep hearing reports to the contrary. 

On Kim’s end, there are rumors about Kanye.  As for Reggie, as previously mentioned, there’s this!

Rumors have been circulating that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would become another conservative pundit on her own talk radio show.

It turns out out she was straight up DENIED!!!

The rejection didn’t just come from anyone! The country’s largest radio conglomerate, Clear Channel, turned her down!!

Maybe TV is a better fit!

A song that is almost two years old is burning up the charts in America!

Released FOREVER ago, the Kings of Leon‘s brilliant Use Somebody has just cracked the America’s Top 10, in fact it landed all the way at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

We would not be surprised if the old song – new to most Americans – makes it all the way to #1.

That’d be awesome!

And with their newfound mainstream success and exposure in the U.S. comes new opportunities for the Kings of Leon, like big time TV appearances.

The merciless economy strikes again as Marie Osmond loses her talk show deal due the lack of funds needed to produce it!

A statement from the company overseeing the project, Program Partners, was released this afternoon stating:

“We acknowledge with gratitude the many stations, advertisers and marketing partners who have been totally enthusiastic and incredibly patient with us as we worked hard to maintain solid footing for this project. Our belief in Marie’s creative vision for a new kind of talk show is unshakable, but in the end, the marketplace this year was simply unyielding.”

Of course, no one is more bummed than Marie herself, who was probably hoping to escape having to perform with her brother Donny five times a week in Vegas. She was quoted saying:

“I want to express my deep appreciation for the faithful support and dedication shown by the numerous stations. It was my sincere desire to return their enthusiastic responses by producing an exceptional talk show for their fall schedules; produced with the high quality that is associated with the Marie Osmond brand for over four decades. This project, under proper conditions, still remains a strong passion of mine.”

Perhaps, one day, the world will be graced with your words of wisdom, Marie. And if not, we don’t foresee any big heartbreak for anyone.
